Here's a good picture of the bottom section
of the completed stairway. The treads and risers are nailed on correctly
and everything looks square. Make sure that you check the distance
between the edge of the stair treads and the wall framing to make sure
that you have at least a space large enough to slip the drywall in
between the stairs in the walls safely.
If you're using half inch drywall, you could always use a piece of 5/8
plywood as a drywall spacer. If this space is too big after the drywall
is installed, you could have a problem finishing the stairway, if you're
using carpeting.
