I found some scrap plywood sheets that were
left over from the floor sheathing and I will be using them to cut as
many stair risers as possible. Most 36 inch wide stairways require 14
risers and they can usually be cut from one single piece of plywood, if
laid out correctly.
Remember, you can cut your stair risers against the grain of the
plywood, but you shouldn't ever cut your stair treads against the grain.
