| It's difficult to see in the picture above,
but there is a strip of construction adhesive on top of the stairs
stringer. I tried to get a close up, but it looks like I had a lighting
problem.
Make sure that you get a good construction adhesive. I like to use
polyurethane based adhesives and try to stay away from construction
adhesives that dry out and become brittle.
Most polyurethane based adhesives have better holding power as lumber
begins to shrink. Adhesives that become brittle can easily separate as
lumber dries out and starts to shrink.
